When did you come out and does your current partner share, understand or respect your fetish for latex?
I wouldn’t say I’ve come out as such! I hide behind my website and a pseudonym, I’ve never been to a fetish club or event - I’m more of an observer and commentator rather than a participant. This is ostensibly because of my wife, but also because this hobby of ours isn’t exactly cheap, and there are more important things to spend money on, like food and heating and cars so I can get to work…
My wife respects and sort of understands my fetish, but doesn’t share it. She appreciates it, but doesn’t like to wear latex, as it affects her asthma, and doesn’t like the smell. She has a PVC catsuit and dress which she wears very infrequently, and only in our house. She also can’t wear high heels as she broke a bone in her foot years ago. She doesn’t stop me enjoying my fetish, or doing my website, but would rather it didn’t enter into our everyday lives.
Left to me, I wouldn’t care who knew I was kinky. I feel it’s my business, it doesn’t hurt anyone and who cares? My friends and family wouldn’t care (I don’t think), but my wife really wouldn’t want her side of the family knowing.
My love for my wife is more important than fulfilling my fetish in public. I’d rather live a vanilla life with her than a kinky life without her.
So in short, I’m still in the closet, but it’s nice and warm and dark in here, and I can watch the world go by through the slightly ajar door…
